Christine Sevilla Wetlands Preserve
Ribbon Cutting - October 18, 2014
Sixty guests, family, committee members and Genesee Land Trust members braved a chilly, wet morning to be a part of the opening of this preserve with new boardwalk and kiosk. Michael & Chuck Sevilla cut the ribbon; coffee, hot chocolate and bagels for all, walks along the new boardwalk exploring the preserve. With this ceremony, our mission of creating a place to remember Christine forever has become a reality. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this effort.

Christine Sevilla's Visual Art will Build a Trail in the
Christine Sevilla Wetland Preserve (April 2011)

The Exhibition, Auction and Sale held on April 5, 2011 was a huge success. Over 100 people came to purchase art, buying more than half of her one-of-a-kind works. The more than $10,000 raised will go towards a boardwalk type trail, viewing platform and kiosk at the Preserve. Christine would be delighted to see her works benefit this preserve for all to visit.

But we are only part way there.
We still need your help - How? Buy more Art!
A wide variety of works in all styles and sizes are still for sale and are now listed on this website. Purchase a work or two for offi
ce or home to support the trail to be
built in the Christine Sevilla Wetland Preserv

Visit the ART SALE page to browse all remaining works available for sale.

Genesee Land Trust property chosen to Honor Christine (Fall 2010)
The Caledonia Wetland, the first preserve of Genesee Land Trust, was found to meet most of the criterion in selecting a suitable site and renamed the Christine Sevilla Wetlands Preserve. Plans are under way for a nature trail, interpretive signs and a kiosk.
